Our Camp The Big Canoe Way Camp Location and map The Big Canoe Way is: To provide a supportive family atmosphere where campers and staff can learn personal life skills and build meaningful relationships. To offer a challenging program that emphasizes fun, skills, and knowledge for life-long recreation. To develop a respect for our natural environment and to teach our human responsibility for the stewardship of all life on earth. To serve hearty, nourishing meals which supply energy for fun and adventure. Camp Big Canoe is under the direction of an experienced camp director and all activities are supervised by trained, responsible staff. Medical attention and First Aid is given by a resident full time Registered Nurse and a local on-call Physician. Bracebridge Hospital can be reached in about 25 minutes.
